AppESP analyzes your Android to recommend new apps

AppESP analyzes your Android to recommend new apps: "

There can never be too many Android apps; or too many ways to discover them. The latest way to find out what’s fresh or hot in the Android Market is AppESP.

Much like we’ve seen with other recommendation apps like AppAware and AppBrain, AppESP attempts to apply some extra sensory perception to figure out which titles you should download. AppESP scans your phone to see what’s currently installed and then discovers what to recommend. Someone with a large number of games installed would consequently be notified of new 3D titles.

AppESP is free and works on most versions of Android. It also has other discovery tools like notifications on new recommendations, Hottest to see what’s popular, browse or search to find specific apps, rankings and charts, and a Like/Dislike button to help gauge user response.

I’d love to tell you more, but I can’t get the app to work. AppESP doesn’t work until accessing the web to register, and the servers used for that are apparently getting hammered, so we’ll have to wait until things are stabilized. Let’s hope this is a buzz-induced crash because it just launched and not a sign of things to come.
