When you take a look at our list of Android phones it’s easy to get overwhelmed. There are just so many devices on different carriers, and there are more coming down the pike. There are so many things to consider when deciding which device fits your needs. When I was browsing around the other day I came across an interesting Lifehacker article that points to an interesting site. I’m not sure how I’ve missed this one, but if you’re looking for a pretty comprehensive device comparison, head to droidthing.com to see which devices fit your desires.
To start off you’ll check or uncheck a number of boxes that cover general aspects of Android devices. For instance, if you find that the keyboard matters a lot to you, leave that checked. But if you don’t care about the camera, or don’t care about the price on contract, uncheck those. It means that droidthing will ignore that when searching through the device database.
Once you select the important criteria you can get more specific. Which type of keyboard is important? What is the minimum screen resolution you seek? Which carrier do you prefer? Once you do this you submit the form and you’ll get results. Here’s what I got when messing around.

If you’re not satisfied with the selection, you can always click to change the criteria.
What I found with this is that while there are numerous Android devices available, only a few will probably fit your needs. This tool can help narrow down your selection. Even if you’re not currently looking for an Android device, this is a fun tool to play with. Make sure to check it out at http://www.droidthing.com/.
