BareBones App and Sense Removal Script for EVO4G

BareBones App and Sense Removal Script for EVO4G: "

Magnificent as the EVO 4G is, the Android device does come installed with what some owners may deem bloatware, as well as HTC Sense and other widgets.

If you’d like to run a barebones version ROM it is possible to remove Sense and any ‘excess’ apps that you are not likely to use. However, it can be time consuming to go through all the steps required manually – especially if you are constantly flashing new ROMs.

XDA forum member omegasun18 has written a script in order to speed up the process and has uploaded the tool for other members to use. The script will remove Sense and all HTC apps plus lockscreen as well as all peer networking and Sprint applications bar navigation, VVM and promotion. Additionally the script removes other apps that have been confirmed in the forums to be removable without causing stability issues.

The XDA member has stated that if there is demand for a version that does not remove HTC Sense, then the will make such a version.
