Samsung shows us how awesome the Galaxy Tab is in a walk-through video

Samsung shows us how awesome the Galaxy Tab is in a walk-through video: "

Ever since the Galaxy Tab was first leaked I had a small feeling that this device was going to be the real deal; the Android tablet that we have been waiting for. Some can dismiss it for not being the right size or having a different UI on top of stock Android but just take one look at this walk-through video provided by Samsung and you too might be a believer.

Samsung just posted a a 9 minute video showing the Galaxy Tab in action by demoing different applications including their mail app, calendar app, contacts and phone app, and their reader app among others. You’ll notice how well the device performs and can handle multiple applications and transitions with ease. There are a couple of hiccups here and there but at least Samsung didn’t edit them out and pretend like something doesn’t exist. All-in-all though, this device looks really good.

I have to say this though. After owning the iPad since it’s debut (all Android fanboys can flame me if you must) I have gotten to know and love how a tablet works in my life. The Galaxy Tab looks good for sure, but there are many ripoffs from the iPad, most notably the reader application and the mail application. This isn’t really that big of a deal; Samsung is at least looking at the competition and riffing on things that work plus they are taking what they have learned from the competitor and adding features to it that could possibly make the Galaxy Tab a better tablet.

So, check out the video below and let us know what you think. Are you going to run out and get one of these pieces when they are released?
