Android tablets have been in the news a lot lately, with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy tablet, and the recently announced Motorola-Verizon offering. It seems as if a new kid is coming to town in the form of a device from Indian start-up Notion Ink. The tablet, called Adam, will merge Android with an NVIDIA Tegra SoC, as well as a Pixel QI transflective display. The device will also feature a rear touchpad and a camera that rotates 180-degrees. Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan had the following to say:

The product will shoot for FCC certifications in the second week of November. And then it depends on them. Currently we will ship LCD and PQ Variants, both available in Wi-fi only and 3G modes. I believe you will get a range of around $399 to $498 for these four.

Shravan has also said he hopes to build a team of dedicated app developers to bring some unique elements to Adam. There is word yet as to when the device will be released, or if there are plans to expand beyond the market in India.
